After eating the most delicious and juicy peaches, we were inspired to try combining the sweet and tart fruit with other flavors to create delightful summer dishes. When you think about peaches, peach cobbler or ice cream come to mind, but some of the best preparations are the more savory peach recipes. Images of fields filled with lavender have been popping up all over and it has us craving things packed with the floral flavor. There's just something luxurious about eating flower buds. Countdown to Thanksgiving and then Christmas has officially begun. One of my favorite parts of the meal is the dessert portion. I'm a HUGE fan of pies. Apple pie, cherry pie, pumpkin pie, I love them all. So this year, I'm in charge of making our holiday pie. I'm going to stick with pumpkin and pecan flavors.
