Unfortunate truth, all salads are not the same. On one side you have the bland, unfilling iceberg lettuce based option and on the other size you can have a filling, refreshing and hearty salad bowl with a variety of grains and greens. We like opting for the second option. Since we’re huge fans of salad and meal preps, we found a bunch of salad meal prep recipes that will leave you full. We’re also sharing some tips on keeping your meal prep salad fresh for 3-4 days!
How to Meal Prep a Salad
The key is to use fresh ingredients. On prep day, make sure you find the freshest, unprocessed ingredients to keep your salads good for longer. Make sure you also wash and dry all of your ingredients thoroughly. If you are mindful with your ingredients, the final product will stay fresh for longer.
Try to keep all of the ingredients separate until it’s time to eat and everything will keep better in the fridge. Pre-assembling could lead to a soggy salad by day 3, ew. PSA, don’t add the dressing until it’s go-time.
