Chattanooga, Tennessee is a lovely city packed with beautiful scenery, historic buildings, delicious restaurants and endless adventure. We were limited to 48 hours in the Nooga, so we hustled through some of the most fun experiences. Y’all, I didn’t realize how close Chattanooga was to numerous southeastern cities! It’s just within 2 hours of Nashville, Atlanta, Knoxville and Birmingham. Definitely worth a weekend excursion if you’re close by! chattanooga travel guide
Where to stay :
The Chattanoogan Hotel

Easily in the best location, The Chattanoogan Hotel combines convenience and luxury which made our stay in Chattanooga relaxing and so effortless! The hotel staff was helpful and assisted us in every way possible. They were integral in making our stay pleasant and worry free!
For reference, the Hotel is located in Chattanooga’s Southside district, which is surrounded by countless restaurants, bars and activities. This hotel itself is HUGE, and has a pool area, spa, bar, restaurant and outdoor fire pit.
Our king sized bedroom was very spacious and had a nice view of the Main Terrain Art Park outside. You could even see the mountain ranges in the distance.
I had a long drive on the way to Chattanooga. I left Augusta early in the afternoon and headed to Rome, GA where James was on rotations. Together, we made the drive to Chattanooga. The comfortable accommodations and tasty charcuterie were much appreciated after being in the car for 6 hours!

Coupled with the outdoor fire pit, we had the best atmosphere for relaxation! Since Chattanooga is surrounded by hikes and outdoorsy activities, having a place to recover is essential!
