As a self-proclaimed expert in regards to Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shopping, I’m sharing timelines, best practices, tips, and recommendations on shopping Nordstrom’s biggest sale. To avoid a bazillion small sale related posts, I will be updating this frequently.

So first things first, why is this sale so great?
The Nordstrom anniversary sale 2018 gives you the ability to shop for NEW fall merchandise at a discounted price. Yep, these aren’t months old markdowns that didn’t sell…they’re brand new items that have not hit the shelf, and they are on major discount. Which makes it the perfect time to stock up on all of the fall items on your wishlist. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale also includes a BUNCH of closet essentials that are worth stocking up on like leggings, classic work blouses and denim.
Here’s the timeline.
Let me take this moment to stress the importance of having a Nordstrom Credit or Debit card. This allows early access to the sale; a full 8 days ahead of the general public. Things sell out quickly, so having access to the items early makes a huge difference in getting what you want. Apply for a card here.
Oh and if you’re a current card holder, Nordstrom is offering a promo that has 0% APR (I’m unsure of the time period), you can see if you’re eligible here.
Early access starts at 3:00 AM EST on July 12th, so if you have something from the catalog that you really want, I recommend setting alarms. Don’t worry, I’ll be up with y’all at 3:00 snagging my favorites.

- Browse the catalog! This isn’t everything that’s available during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018, but it’s a great resource to start making your lists. The discounts are also visible which makes budgeting possible.
- Closet cleanse. Take this time to browse through your closet to see which essentials need to be replaced and to see what is lacking. Make a list of what’s missing from your closet and compare it with the catalog to see what items are at the top of your “to-buy” list.
- Set your triple day points day! 2,000 points translates to $20 Nordstrom Rewards, so the more you spend, the more you earn!
