Summer is all about bright colors and bold prints! What better way to add interesting elements to your wardrobe than with pretty prints that stand out and make a statement? We’re noticing some very loud patterns becoming popular prints for summer and we’re loving it.
So if you’re skeptical about joining in on the pattern play this season, we really think you should give it a whirl. Start small, with a floral or gingham, but strive to work up to the beautiful scarf prints that will have everyone saying, “wow!”
Popular Prints for Summer 2019
Animal Prints
This trend began picking up traction in the wintertime, but it’s still as popular as ever! I mean have you seen the ever so popular leopard midi skirt that everyone seems to be wearing?! Leopard is essentially a neutral and something you should add to your summer arsenal.
Checks and Gingham
Ok, so this print isn’t really that new for the season. Every spring and summer, gingham and checkered print tend to grow in popularity. Some might even say that it’s the most worn print of the spring and summer season.
Rainbow
Rainbow striped swim, dresses, sweaters and tee have been seen everywhere once the weather brightened up. I mean, brighter weather means brighter clothing, right?
Polka Dots
We were pleasantly surprised when we saw more and more polka dot clothing options popping up. It initially seems child-like, but we’ve fully embraced the trend. It’s retro and cute at the same time all while being super feminine!
Tie Dye
Another retro print that we’re all for! This takes rainbows to a whole different level, and is so visually pleasing. If you have any festivals or concerts, try a tie-dyed tee + denim shorts or overalls!
Silk Scarf Print
We’ve been huge fans of silk scarves and hair tie scarves, but now we’re seeing dresses and blouses that are embracing the silk scarf print. They tend to look very delicate, boho and even ethnic at times!
Florals
Nothing new here. Florals will be popular every season, every year but we had to include it as a popular print, especially if you’re intimidated by prints in general.

Citrus Prints
One of our favorites that especially reminds us of the Amalfi coast. Anyone else want lemon trees in their backyard? Lemon and orange printed pieces are whimsical and will make you look absolutely delectable.

If you’re headed on a beach vacation, you need to take some tropical printed pieces along. On the other hand, if you’re craving a tropical vacation, then these prints may just satisfy your fix.
