Anyone else hating this dreary rain? Danni refuses to go outside unless there’s a light drizzle which has gotten pretty frustrating the past 2 days. Today has been a little better, so let’s hope she learns that rain isn’t the worst thing in the world. I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend. We spent most of it running errands and cleaning the house. I finally watched Captain America: Civil War and LOVED IT! I’m a fan of all Marvel movies, so it was such a great Friday night treat.
So TIL (today I learned) that this specific blouse cut is known as a “boxy top”. It took me 15 minutes to find similar options to this Tobi blouse from last year, mainly because I didn’t know what I was looking for.
SOOO when the sleeves are cut like this blouse, the silhouette is boxy. This makes finding similar tops so much easier; I linked some of my favorites.
The back on this blouse is a little revealing, so I stuck with wearing high waisted pants to balance the minimal fabric on top. This top is almost a crop top, so the high waist created symmetry.
I initially was going to wear denim with this blouse, but wanted to test out wearing mostly white. I’m pretty pleased with how a mostly white blouse pairs with these white pants, especially with brown accessories. Next time, I’m going to try a complete white out look; preferably when it isn’t raining.
