Casual Tank and Cutoffs

Welcome to August, ladies. July flew by and summer is quickly coming to an end. Hopefully we can see some fall temperatures soon, unlikely though! We are in full preparation mode at work for Back to School. Classes will be starting here in 2 short weeks, so I’m sure many of you are in the same boat.

I’ve been enjoying the most of my cutoff shorts and tanks during the weekends and wish I could lounge in this outfit everyday. Surprisingly, I got great feedback from this look; mostly noting how accessible it looked. It’s hard to deny how effortless and easy it is to combine a tank and some denim shorts. When I’m shopping, I feel like I’ve been reaching for basics and very simple tops and tanks for this reason.

Of course, the simplicity of just shorts and a casual tank isn’t always enough for me. The tie up shoes and sun hat were a fun addition, ultimately to keep the outfit interesting. I think the best way to make a simple look your own is by adding accent pieces that catch your eye. The shoes and hat did that in my case. Sometimes a little extra addition is necessary to complete a look.
