5 Tips for Glowing Skin
1. Drink your 2/3s of your body weight in ounces of water.
Our bodies are mostly water, so this should be a no-brainer, but it is also something that is neglected by so many people. So if you haven’t already, start with an excess of water intake as your first step towards glowing skin. Get a cute water bottle and carry it everywhere, it makes the water drinking process way easier!
2. Control what goes into your body.
Genius, right? This one is pretty much an extension of tip number one. What you eat affects your skin completely and can make a big difference on that glow. So make sure you eat your fruits and veggies, especially those that are high in antioxidants. Acai bowl, anyone?

3. Cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen
The basics of any good skincare routine. NEVER skimp on cleansing your skin. I actually double cleanse with an oil cleanser first and then a water-based cleanser second. The toner helps balance the pH levels of your skin and reduces the size of pores. I use a sunscreen and moisturizer and reapply multiple times a day. Also NEVER forget sunscreen, just don’t.
4. Find the right products for your skin.
There are hundreds of items on the market that serve multiple purposes. Read reviews and find whats best for YOUR skin. In my routine, I have a clay exfoliating mask, retinoid, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C serum, eye cream, various sheet masks, moisturizers and sun screen. I’m thinking about creating a Skincare 101 post that highlights the benefits of each category, so stay tuned for that!

5. Start Using a Retinol
Retinol, which is essentially vitamin A is know to simulate the production and turnover of new skin cells. This is highly effective in reversing aging and overall improves your complexion. Hello even skin tone, even texture and minimal wrinkles. Just a heads up, retinol makes your skin more sensitive to sun so don’t skip the SPF. Like, ever.
So you can either slather on some highlighter, or try to attain that natural glow for healthier, feel better skin.
What beauty secrets do you have that lead to glowing skin?
Such good tips! I’m loving my skincare routine but I’m still feeling dry and it’s totally because I’m not drinking enough water!
