Simple Orange Sweater

It’s looking more and more like spring outside, so I wanted to pull out the last of my favorite fall and winter pieces before transitioning into full on white and bright spring mode. Yes I’m guilty of sticking to certain colors and textures in the fall and different ones in the spring. But, I also enjoy taking something characteristically “fall,” such as this burnt orange sweater, and making it more seasonally appropriate.

It has been cooler the past few days, compared to our recent 75 degree days, so sticking to winter textures are necessary to keep from freezing outside. I used lighter denim and a neutral colored hat to brighten up the whole look.

If you look closely at the texture of this sweater, it is marled, which is perfect for the in between weather. I love how it adds unexpected detailing.

Also, I’d like to take this moment  to say RIP to these Frye boots because my darling pup ate them. She has a taste for all of my favorite pairs. Fortunately I’ve had them for over 3 years, so I didn’t consider it much of a loss and it game me an excuse to get a new pair of the Melissa Button Frye and they are already my favorite!
