Hey y’all, it’s been a while! After a busy work schedule the past few weeks, I am finally on vacation and thoroughly enjoying my time off. After 36 fun-filled hours of travel we finally made it to the other side of the world. James decided to take a mid-afternoon nap(boo jet lag) and here I am sharing my first Tokyo travel outfit(cuz I’m a jet lag pro).

Tokyo has always been on our travel bucket list and finally seeing the city and experiencing the culture is such a treat. The weather here is not terribly cold so walking around, seeing the sights and eating the Japanese cuisine is absolutely wonderful.
For our first day, I wore a shirt with a cable knit sweater and my quilted jacket on top. I also threw on a blanket scarf just in case it got too chilly. If you’re traveling through Japan or pretty much anywhere in the winter, I would recommend keeping track of the weather by checking the hourly weather forecast of the day. We knew it was going to be overcast-y, windy and rainy so I felt prepared when we were outside and wasn’t overwhelmed when it rained on us.
I can’t stress enough how important layers are. Walking around while traveling and touring can make you go from freezing to overheating in a second; I experienced this about 5 times today. The easy shirt+sweater+jacket+scarf combo is alway a go to.
These are mostly pictures of my outfits, I’ll post my recommended travel spots after my entire trip, so stay tuned for that!
