How to Wear a Suede Skirt

If you follow trends even slightly, I’m sure you’ve noticed that suede is the texture of the season. Suede skirts, boots, bags, hats, dresses…you name it, its been made and worn. Even I’ve fallen into loving the soft and warm texture. So the main question is, how to wear a suede skirt?

Since suede items are usually in a rich color, pairing with light neutrals is a classic and easy way to wear the texture; similar to what I did here.
Suede is also typically in a solid color, so add extra depth with a patterned blouse. Keep accessories simple to maintain balance.
Layer tights under the mini skirt for some extra warmth, taking the skirt into the cooler winter months.
Monochromatic color scheme elongates and slims your body, so opt for the same color on top and bottom.
Throw a sweater on top, the texture contrasts will be eye catching.
Suede can be casual too, so try tennis shoes and a tee for an athlesiure take on suede.
Layer, layer, layer. I’ve seen so many outfits with plaid button downs, puffer vests, and suede skirts. It’s unexpected, but so cute!
Add pops of color, whether with a bag, hat or coat…a contrasting color will pop against the soft suede.
