Lavender Gin and Tonic Recipe

Someone recently told me that lavender season is in full swing right now, which really had me craving a lavender gin and tonic that I had years ago. I found dried French lavender buds on Amazon and infused the buds into a lavender simple syrup. The smell and taste was heavenly, and paired well with the floral Hendricks Gin.

Easy 3 Course Meal with Fresh from Florida Produce

Last weekend I was in a cooking mood and pushed out an easy 3 course meal for 2 in a little over an hour. I had a refrigerator full of Fresh from Florida fruits and veggies, so brainstorming how to cohesively create a quick meal wasn't hard. The quality of these fresh fruits and vegetables really shines in all of these meals. There is very little preparation when it comes to these farm to table commodities, which makes cooking easier and more fun!

Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

It's Superbowl weekend! I'm not usually a football fan, but the Atlanta Falcons made it to the event, so I became a super fan. During the semifinal game, I made this Buffalo Chicken dip and posted some images on Instagram Stories. I had some recipe requests, so I thought I would quickly share before the game. The funny thing is, I looked up buffalo chicken dip on Pinterest and pretty much combined my favorite parts of all the recipes. As I was making the dip, I was concerned that it would be overpowering, but buffalo chicken is supposed to be a strongly flavored dish. All in all, I was very pleased with the final product. We ate it with pita chips, but it can be eaten with tortilla chips, toast, veggies and more. I actually saw an awesome recipe that filled zucchini with the buffalo chicken dip! Might have to try that next time.

Winter Pear Chia Bowl

January is coming to an end and I hope you all are reaching your goals for the new year. As far as my goals are concerned, I'm just aiming for a more healthier lifestyle than last year. I can honestly say that January was a rough month in regards to healthy eating. But, we have some stricter guidelines set for February! I actually spent a few hours on Saturday meal prepping for the entire week. One of my struggles is pre-planning, so this partial meal prep was a step in the right direction. The ever so popular chia bowl is one meal that I've enjoyed prepping in advance.
